Treatment and Recovery
During the Acne Laser Treatment, one of our knowledgeable and experienced industry professionals will treat your area of concern with the Fotona laser. The treatment can take between 60-90 minutes depending on the severity and size of the treatment area. Patients may experience mild to medium discomfort levels as the laser is used on the skin. Swelling or redness may occur immediately after the treatment, and can subside within a few hours post-treatment. Most people will continue on with their day-to-day activities immediately after the acne laser treatment. It is best to avoid sunlight after the laser treatment, and it is always recommended to apply a generous amount of SPF to protect the skin from the sun’s damaging rays. The recovery will depend on the patient and how severe their acne case is. It is normal for the recovery to take between 2-7 days. Our practitioner will be sure to go over the recovery process with you during your consultation appointment.
